Being one of the largest stockists and fabricators in Singapore for stones and tiles, we’re capable of providing not only a wide range of products, but solutions as well to developers, architects, interior designers, contractors and even individual home owners.
Starting out from a humble shop house unit along Joo Chiat Road selling tiles, Futar has come a long way since it was founded in 1971 by our founder Mr Choo Hwee Ming. We started by only specializing in Japanese tiles 50 years ago, and now we’ve grown to become one of Singapore’s leading suppliers in construction finishing material.
We started expanding our resources on a global scale and by the 1980s, the company saw itself also being well-developed with ceramic and homogenous tiles from Spain, Italy, Turkey and China. Futar further ventured into supplying natural stones in the 1990s, starting with marble and granite with resources from the Middle East, Western Europe, South and East Asia.
As the company expanded, we moved into our new office premises in the year of 2006, where we also started our own production plant when we had ample factory space in our newly built Changi North Way warehouse. With our full production facility warehouse, we were able to achieve economies of scale and offer complete services, such as unique stone fabrication works and customized cut-to-size stones – all under one roof.
Futar has been a distributor of bathroom furniture European brand, VitrA, in Singapore since 2006. We have the full range of all sanitary wares, faucets and fittings, shower systems as well as accessories. Consistently providing technological innovation and high quality superior products, VitrA has been widely accepted in various high-volume projects we have worked on over the years for its ability to offer solutions. This makes VitrA the preferred brand for a growing number of developers, architects, designers and contractors.
Futar is now an exclusive distributor of the Italian brand COCOON. This 2022, expect to see more sophisticated and elegant bathroom fittings displayed in our showroom as Cocoon will be launched with our newly renovated showroom. But as of now you can browse the products that will be having for Cocoon.
Our 12,000 square feet showroom located on the fourth storey within our Changi North Way building displays a wide array of stones, tiles and bathroom furniture. We display materials from brands we carry – such as Baldocer, VitrA tiles and bathroom products and Cimstone.. Natural stones that are sui generis and only exclusive to us can only be viewed physically at our showroom and are also not shown on our website. For a full preview of our exceptional collection of building materials, feel free to head down to our showroom (weekends by appointment only) and our showroom executives will be more than happy to assist you.
